Fans around the world will be able to join the celebration of life for late Every Time I Die guitarist and professional wrestler Andy Williams, with this weekend’s memorial set to be livestreamed online.
The event will take place at Buffalo RiverWorks in Williams’ hometown of Buffalo, New York, on Sunday, September 27th. The memorial begins at 6pm local time and will bring together Williams’ friends, family and fans following his death earlier this month.
For Australian viewers, the livestream begins on Monday, September 28th at:
8am – Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
7:30am – Adelaide
6am – Perth
The stream will be available through the Andy Williams Forever YouTube channel.
The celebration will include speeches and tributes alongside a series of acoustic performances. Cave In’s Stephen Brodsky and Adam McGrath, Four Year Strong’s Dan O’Connor and Alan Day, and Anthony Green are among the musicians announced to perform (per The PRP).
A lasting legacy
Williams passed aged 48 after suffering a medical emergency while wrestling at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Pennsylvania on September 5th. As previously reported, Enjoy Wrestling co-owner Kurt Hackimer said Williams collapsed at ringside following his match before being taken to hospital. An official cause of death has not been announced.
Williams was a founding member of Every Time I Die and performed on all nine of the Buffalo hardcore band’s studio albums before their split in 2022. He had more recently returned to music with Atomic Rule.
Alongside music, Williams built a successful professional wrestling career as The Butcher, including several years with All Elite Wrestling.
The Buffalo memorial itself is free to attend, with organisers asking attendees to RSVP. Merchandise has also been released through Andy Williams Forever, with proceeds going to the Williams family to distribute among charities and organisations selected in his honour.
