Fresh off the surprise release of Lose Your Self, Enter Shikari returned to Melbourne last night for a packed out performance at the Forum that showcased both the immediacy of their new material and the staying power of their catalogue.
Opening duties fell to Friends of Friends, who hit the stage with precision, their set was direct, energetic and a strong opening statement.
grandson followed, overcoming an early technical issue with ease, returning with purpose, quickly building the room’s momentum through a politically charged set that included a fierce take on Bob Dylan’s “Masters of War.”
By the time Enter Shikari took over, the room was ready, check out the following gallery from Alexander Hallag for Blunt Magazine:

Launching with the title track from Lose Your Self, Enter Shikari wasted no time moving through a setlist that balanced fresh cuts like “The Flick of a Switch I.” and “Find Out The Hard Way…” with staples including “Sorry, You’re Not a Winner,” “The Last Garrison” and “Juggernauts.”
Tracks like “Labyrinth” and “Rabble Rouser” kept the room in constant motion, while “{ The Dreamer’s Hotel }” and “The Void Stares Back” highlighted the band’s ability to merge electronics, melody and social commentary without losing intensity.
Frontman Rou Reynolds repeatedly thanked the Melbourne crowd, acknowledging the financial strain impacting live music globally and expressing genuine gratitude for the support, it was a fitting reminder that Enter Shikari continue to be one of modern heavy music’s most thoughtful and compelling live forces.
