P.O.D. have dropped ‘Outbreak’, a new track with Norma Jean vocalist Cory Brandan, just weeks before they return to Australia for Good Things 2026.
Produced by Will Yip, whose credits include Turnstile, Code Orange and Circa Survive, the song is P.O.D.’s first new original material since 2024 album Veritas.
It is also noticeably heavier.
“This is possibly one of the heaviest songs P.O.D. has ever written, so we wanted to showcase a guest vocalist who reflected that,” vocalist Sonny Sandoval says. “Cory’s voice and tone bring a specific intensity and command that draws you in. Our voices together deliver an authoritative energy that matches the power of the song.”
Brandan’s involvement came out of P.O.D. touring with Norma Jean in the US in 2024, giving the two bands enough time together for the idea to move beyond a guest spot on paper.
The video takes things somewhere less subtle, check it out below.

Zombie apocalypse
‘Outbreak’ drops P.O.D. into a full zombie apocalypse, leaning into a subject guitarist Marcos Curiel says was an easy fit for the band.
“As avid fans of zombie apocalypse, video games, and movies, it seemed only fitting to compose a song about this topic. The song delicately straddles the line between nonfiction and fiction. It’s fun yet hard-hitting, bridging the gap between what’s real and what’s not.”
Australian audiences will get an early chance to see where the song lands in the set.
P.O.D. are heading to Good Things in December, playing Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as part of the 2026 lineup.
Before the festival dates begin, they will also play three headline sideshows with Ocean Grove in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne.
That smaller-room run gives P.O.D. a few chances to throw ‘Outbreak’ into a crowd before the festival stages take over.
Given the way Sandoval is talking about the song, it feels built for exactly that.
