The return of Warped Tour in 2025 was already big news. Now, it’s got its first headliner—311. The funk-rock veterans who last played the festival in 2019 and have been part of its legacy since 1996.
For its 30th anniversary edition, Warped Tour is scaling things down from the cross-country madness of its early years. Instead, it’ll take over Long Beach, Orlando, and Washington, D.C., across three weekends. But 311 will only be headlining Long Beach on July 26–27, making their performance a one-off moment at the festival.
The lineup so far already leans into the best of pop-punk, ska, and alternative nostalgia. Simple Plan, Bowling for Soup, Pennywise, Dance Hall Crashers, Miss May I, and Chandler Leighton have all been revealed as part of the first wave of bands, with some names being practically Warped Tour furniture at this point. Simple Plan has played the fest 13 times, while Pennywise and Bowling for Soup aren’t far behind.
It’s not just a throwback affair, though. Hardcore outfit Drain will be playing all three stops, Saturdays At Your Place are booked for D.C., and The Maine will take on both D.C. and Orlando. Dance Hall Crashers are even coming out of retirement, reuniting for the first time in 20 years.
Warped Tour has always been more than just a festival—it’s a rite of passage. From sweaty parking lots to iconic breakout moments for bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, and Green Day, it’s where alternative music thrived. It also famously crossed genre boundaries, bringing in Eminem, Cypress Hill, and the Black Eyed Peas over the years.
When Kevin Lyman first announced Warped’s return, he admitted he wasn’t physically up for the gruelling summer tour that made it legendary. But if 2025 proves successful, he’s open to expanding it. “People start remembering once something’s gone that it was important, it was fun,” he told Rolling Stone. “I’m hoping to recapture a lot of that again.”
More lineup announcements are expected soon, but for now, Warped Tour 2025 is shaping up to be a mix of old-school favourites and fresh blood. If the nostalgia alone doesn’t get you, the sheer energy of a fully stacked Warped lineup just might.
