Five Finger Death Punch have officially entered a new chapter, dropping blistering new single “Eye Of The Storm” as the first taste of their forthcoming 10th studio album.
The track marks the band’s first brand new material since their recent Best Of releases and signals what guitarist and founder Zoltan Bathory describes as some of the heaviest music the band has created in years.
Currently recording in Los Angeles, the multi platinum hard rock giants have spent the past three years crafting the follow up to their previous full length release, with a new album expected to land later this year.
Excitement around the release had already been building after the band teased snippets of fresh material across social media following the announcement of their 2027 European dates, the latest run in their massive 2026 – 2028 world tour.

Now, with “Eye Of The Storm” officially out in the world, it’s clear Five Finger Death Punch are doubling down on intensity.
“The new music has been turning out heavier than anything we’ve done in years, with a cinematic undertone running beneath it,” Bathory said (per press release).
He revealed the band worked through nearly 30 songs before narrowing the project down to roughly 14 or 15 tracks, even considering a double album at one stage, for Bathory the record represents both a return to the band’s roots and a leap forward creatively.
“What excites me most is that I’m hearing the early era again — that grit, that bite, that aggression — while simultaneously exploring completely new territories.”

The upcoming release carries added significance as it marks both the band’s 10th studio album and their 20th anniversary, a milestone that appears to have reignited the hunger that first launched them into the upper echelon of modern heavy music.
With 30 Top 10 hit singles already under their belt, Five Finger Death Punch are showing no signs of easing off and if “Eye Of The Storm” is any indication, the next era will be louder, heavier and more ambitious than ever.
