Spiritbox have dropped a surprise new single, Mourning, giving Australian fans fresh material to sink into ahead of the band’s return for Good Things Festival this December.
The track arrived on September 7th alongside a new official video, marking Spiritbox’s first standalone single since the release of Tsunami Sea (per Revolver).
Mourning leans into the melodic side of the band’s sound without losing the weight and tension that has defined their recent material, arriving at a point where Spiritbox are continuing to expand well beyond the metalcore lane they first emerged from.
Visually, the release also appears to signal a shift.
The band had teased Mourning using the stark black and white presentation associated with the Tsunami Sea era, while the full video (below) returns to colour and introduces a noticeably different visual language.

The timing is particularly relevant for Australian fans, with Spiritbox already confirmed for this years Good Things Festival, alongside Limp Bizkit, Simple Plan, Polaris, The All-American Rejects, Alexisonfire and more.
Spiritbox have spent the past year maintaining a heavy touring schedule and appearing across a string of major collaborations, while Courtney LaPlante has also recently worked with Oli Sykes and Grabbitz on the 2026 VALORANT Champions anthem, If The Sun Burns Out Tonight.
Mourning now gives the band another new song to potentially bring into their Australian festival set when they land later this year.
