Leading the charge is the upcoming split single featuring The MeaniesBlacklist and Dad Fight’s Reality Check, pressed across limited black, transparent orange and transparent blue vinyl editions, the release will officially land in time for the bands’ East Coast run together later this year.

The pairing brings together two generations of Australian punk energy, with organisers describing the collaboration as “the old bull and the young calf, together at last.”

Fans can expect a run of explosive live shows as the two bands tear through South East Queensland, joined by stacked local supports including City Council, Council Grounds, Riot Revolver, The Fem Grems and Da Manager.

Before that, The Meanies will kick things off with a free King’s Birthday weekend show at St Kilda Bowls Club in June, before heading west for a long awaited trio of Western Australian dates.

They’ll also reunite with longtime mates Spiderbait for several stops on the Ivy & The Big Apples anniversary tour, before capping off the year with a headline appearance at Lismore punk festival Festy-Ville #5.

With more dates still to be announced, 2026 is shaping up as one of The Meanies’ busiest years in recent memory.

The split release also offers a fresh reminder of the band’s enduring relevance within Australia’s punk scene. Decades after first tearing through local stages, The Meanies continue to prove they’re just as loud, wild and unpredictable as ever.
