Sharon Osbourne has thanked fans in her first public statement following the death of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne.

Sharon Osbourne has posted her first statement to fans on Friday, thanking them for their support following the death of her husband Ozzy Osbourne.

Osbourne passed away on July 22, only weeks following his final performance at the Back To The Beginning concert, which took place in the singer‘s home city of Birmingham. The concert would raise $190 million for charity, making it one of the most successful charity concerts of all time.

“I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media,” Sharon would write in an Instagram post. “Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed, in fact, it’s carried me through many nights.”

In the same post, Sharon would share a video of her and her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, practising falconry.

“Though I’m still finding my footing, I wanted to share some glorious creatures I had the chance to spend an afternoon with. The connection you make with these powerful birds is built entirely on trust and confidence,” continued Sharon. “They’ll choose to perch on you only if they sense you are safe and unafraid of them. It’s a bond I know all too well, and the experience was nothing short of magical.”

She ended her note by writing, “I love you all, and I thank you deeply for the otherworldly amount of love you continue to send my way.”

In his first podcast since Ozzy’s death, Jack Osbourne shared details about his final week with his dad.

“After my dad’s show in Birmingham, I stuck around, hung out for a week with the family at the house with my kids, it was a really amazing week,” he said. “My dad was in an amazing mood. Every day, he was opening up the newspaper and seeing different reviews and different stories from the Back to the Beginning show, and it was great.”

He would also say that while there was “sadness and pain,” he was also grateful for the timing of his death following the concert, as “He got to say goodbye in such a profound way.”
