Twenty One Pilots are asking for the return of a stolen USB drive from their Los Angeles show, and fans are on the case.
Twenty One Pilots are dealing with another case of stolen property during their ongoing tour. Following a string of bizarre incidents this year, including a stolen drum, the band has issued a public appeal after a USB drive was taken from their Los Angeles show at BMO Stadium.
According to an email sent to attendees, the missing item was taken from an exhibit at the venue on Wednesday night. “We are reaching out to sincerely request its return – no questions asked, and anonymity fully respected,” the message says. “The Level Of Concern USB drive carries significant meaning for the band and its history.” Twenty One Pilots has asked for the drive to be mailed to Warner Music Group’s New York office.
The stolen device references the band’s 2020 single ‘Level Of Concern’ and was part of a fan exhibit highlighting key moments in their career. Once word spread online, fans immediately began combing through photos and videos from the show to determine when the USB was last seen, creating a kind of digital investigation in real time.
The incident follows other theft-related headaches for Twenty One Pilots this year. Earlier in 2025, a drum was stolen from the stage during a Manchester show. Last month, the band also filed a lawsuit against e-commerce site Temu for allegedly selling counterfeit merchandise featuring their logo.
Reports from the Los Angeles concert suggest it was a chaotic night overall, with fans on social media mentioning at least one person being removed from the pit (and some suggesting people were getting it on in the crowd). While those rumours remain unverified, it’s clear that the band’s relationship with concert etiquette continues to be tested.
For now, Twenty One Pilots are relying on their fanbase’s goodwill (and perhaps a little bit of luck) to bring the missing ‘Level Of Concern’ USB back where it belongs.
