Just when Oasis fans thought the door was firmly shut until at least 2027, Liam Gallagher has done what he does best and lobbed another cryptic grenade into the conversation.
Earlier this month, Gallagher appeared to shut down any hopes of Oasis activity next year, telling fans on X, “We’re not doing anything in 2026 sorry”.
That followed a blunt dismissal of rumours about a Knebworth return and another typically chaotic sign off where he claimed he had “I don’t [have] snizzle to do until 2027 I mean happy Christmas.”
Fast forward to December 30th and the tune has shifted, replying to a fan who noted that “Oasis 2025 will officially be over in a day”, Liam responded: “Bring on 2027 I mean 2026 I mean happy easter”.
It was classic Liam, messy, sarcastic, and just vague enough to reignite speculation.
The comments land just weeks after Oasis wrapped up their massive ‘Live ’25’ reunion tour, which concluded in Brazil on November 24th, the 41 date run kicked off in Cardiff on July 4th and took in major stops across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas, including multiple nights at Manchester’s Heaton Park and London’s Wembley Stadium.
Following the final show, the band announced a pause:
“There will now be a pause for a period of reflection,” they wrote, signing off simply as Oasis. The statement also reflected on the scale of the reunion, noting that the love and euphoria stretched “from Gallagher Hill to the River Plate.”
Liam continues to fuel the fire
When asked about future setlists, he hinted that things would not stay static.
Responding to a fan asking if ‘Listen Up’ might appear, he said:
“If we tour again there will be changes to the set list thems the rules”. When another fan pushed for ‘Columbia’, his reply was more confident: “Oh it’ll be there if we tour again.”
The band famously played the same 23 songs in the same order at every show on the reunion tour, though guitarist Gem Archer later revealed the original setlist was longer.
Between Liam’s slips, jokes, and knowing nudges, nothing is confirmed, but nothing feels completely off the table either.
