Alissa White-Gluz, former singer for Arch Enemy, has announced that guitarists Alyssa Day and Daniella Sophia will be joining her upcoming solo project.
Former Arch Enemy singer, Alissa White-Gluz, appears to be ramping up work on her solo project and has enlisted the help of two guitarists.
Announced via the singer’s Instagram today (February 21), White-Gluz would reveal that guitarist Alyssa Day of Mindscar and Absentia, and guitar influencer Daniella Sophia have joined the lineup.
“I am super thrilled to be working alongside two amazingly talented guitarists; Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia,” White-Gluz would share.
“So far the music we are making together is exactly what I have always wanted. I feel like they both have such unique playing styles that complement each other to make our collaborative work super heavy, energetic, catchy and evocative at the same time. I really couldn’t be happier and more honoured to be working alongside such talented and inspiring musicians. Fans won’t have to wait long at all to hear and see what we have been up to!”
Last November, White-Gluz announced her departure from Arch Enemy while announcing her own solo venture. Shortly after leaving the band, she’d drop the track ‘The Room Where She Died’, hinting at more music on the horizon.
Arch Enemy would announce White-Gluz’s replacement on social media earlier this week, revealing that Lauren Hart (formerly of Once Human) would be joining the Swedish extreme metal group as their new singer.
The band would share their new track ‘To The Last Breath’ along with the announcement, showing that they don’t plan to slow down any time soon.
Guitarist Michael Amott would share in a press release discussing how working with Hart has brought a new revitalised energy to the band:
“Connecting with Lauren has marked an important step in my journey. Working with her was an exceptional experience – her remarkable voice, coupled with her dedication and professionalism, brings a rare level of excellence. I look forward to continuing the collaboration.”
