Bruce Dickinson Recruits Horror Icon Bill Moseley For Mysterious New Music Video

Share

Bruce Dickinson has dragged one of horror cinema’s most recognisable faces into the desert for a new music video tied to his forthcoming solo album.

The Iron Maiden frontman has recruited actor Bill Moseley for the shoot, with filming taking place outside Las Vegas, Nevada under director Leo Liberti.

Exactly which song they’re working on remains under wraps, but the video will accompany material from Dickinson‘s eighth solo record, currently expected in early 2027 through BMG.

Moseley shared a photo alongside Dickinson from the shoot, revealing they were working through some properly brutal desert conditions (per Blabbermouth).

‘Had a blast working on a @leolibertifilms video with @ironmaiden frontman @brucedickinsonhq today in the hinterlands outside of @vegas. 114 Fahrenheit in the shade, if there had been any shade!’

For horror fans, Moseley needs little introduction. He played Otis B. Driftwood throughout Rob Zombie’s ‘Firefly’ trilogy and the gloriously unhinged Chop Top in ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2’. More recently, he’s become familiar territory for metal audiences through his appearances as Captain Harris in Ice Nine Kills videos.

Liberti, meanwhile, already has history with Dickinson, having worked on his recent ‘Tears Of The Dragon’ and ‘Change Of Heart’ videos.

Dickinson’s next solo era is taking shape

The still untitled album follows 2024’s ‘The Mandrake Project’, but Dickinson has made it clear he’s not interested in simply repeating himself. Earlier this month, he offered a fairly concise description of where things are heading: ‘The album is heavy as sh*t.’

Most of the record was tracked at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in California with producer Brendan Duffey. Dickinson’s touring band recorded alongside him, while Sepultura guitarist Andreas Kisser has contributed percussion, his son Austin Dickinson will also feature on what Bruce has described as one of the record’s key tracks.

Dickinson has previously teased that some new music could surface before the end of the year, and with multiple videos now being shot, the machinery surrounding the album is clearly starting to move.

Iron Maiden return to Australia in November

Before Dickinson’s next solo chapter properly arrives, he’ll be back in Australia with Iron Maiden for the ‘Run For Your Lives’ World Tour, joined by special guests Megadeth.
