Northlane Postpone Australian Tour As Josh Smith Prioritises Health

Northlane’s Australian and New Zealand tour will move to May 2027, while production delays have pushed Anemoia’s release to 27 November.

Northlane have postponed their November Australian and New Zealand tour until May 2027 as guitarist Josh Smith addresses worsening chronic health issues.

In their original announcement, the band said Smith requires immediate medical intervention that will prevent him from travelling or performing. They have prioritised his health and rehabilitation in making the decision to move the tour.

The announcement also brings a separate change to their seventh album, Anemoia. Originally scheduled for October 30, the record will now arrive on November 27, 2026, because of production delays.

Existing concert tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled May shows. Northlane said replacement dates would be announced soon.

The Melbourne listening party has also moved to November 20, with tickets remaining valid. According to the band, attendees will be the first in the world to hear Anemoia in full, one week before its revised release.

Those changes affect the Australian launch of a record that continues Northlane’s exploration of electronic music alongside their heavy foundations. As BLUNT previously reported, Anemoia was executive produced by Jordan Fish, with guitarist Jon Deiley citing an Evian Christ performance among its inspirations.

Northlane have released new single ‘Deathwish’ ahead of schedule alongside the update. It is available to stream and watch now.

The band also confirmed that their UK and European tour with Dayseeker later this year and their North American headline tour early next year will proceed as planned.

For Australian and New Zealand ticket holders, the immediate advice is to retain existing tickets and wait for the replacement itinerary. The band’s statement does not set out refund arrangements.
