Lamb of God closed the Melbourne stop of their 2026 Australian co-headline tour with Trivium at John Cain Arena on 6 October, after Bleed From Within opened a night that built from bouncing floors to a full-scale circle pit.

Lamb of God and Trivium’s Australian co-headline tour reached Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on 6 October 2026, with Scottish metal outfit Bleed From Within opening the three-band bill.

Bleed From Within and Trivium get Melbourne moving

Bleed From Within took the stage under unusual circumstances. A family emergency had ruled one of their guitarists out, with Richard Walker stepping in for the tour, but the change did little to slow them down. ‘God Complex’ sent the floor bouncing, while the band also found room for some very Australian crowd work, joking that this was the only place outside Scotland where they could say ‘cunt’ without getting into trouble.

Trivium followed to a crowd that stayed engaged throughout the set. Between songs, the band spoke about Melbourne feeling like home whenever they return, whether someone in the room was seeing them for the first time or had already caught them multiple times.

Key moment: Randy Blythe makes Melbourne find its voice

By the time Lamb of God took control of John Cain Arena, the floor was ready. A huge circle pit opened through the crowd, bodies came surfing towards the barrier and the energy built through the first two sets finally broke loose.

Eight small screens projected visuals across the stage while Randy Blythe worked almost every part of it, repeatedly launching himself from a central riser before returning to deliver vocals. John Campbell’s hair flew as he headbanged beside him, with the band’s guitars, drums and double kick landing with the weight the room had been waiting for.

Blythe repeatedly worked the Melbourne crowd, at one point asking who was seeing Lamb of God for the first time and telling the newcomers they were going to get their money’s worth. When the response later dropped below his expectations, he broke into a blues-style song until the room found its voice again. He also made a point of thanking the crowd and acknowledging every band on the bill.

The night ended with Blythe asking Melbourne for one more push before Lamb of God closed on ‘Redneck’. The arc of the show was hard to miss: Bleed From Within got the floor moving, Trivium kept it there, and Lamb of God turned John Cain Arena into a mass of circle pits, crowd surfers and raised voices.
