Liam Gallagher ostensibly had a “BIBLICAL” Easter Sunday with Noel and his nephews. And no, that’s not slang for throwing ham at each other across the table.
The younger Gallagher took to X to announce that his brother Noel popped over for a cup of tea with his sons: Donavan and Sonny. He subsequently described the hangout as “absolutely incredible.” He then added, “I obviously blew [their] minds coz im cool as fuck.” Which is honestly very fair. Nothing says spiritual rebirth like awkward family small talk and the looming weight of Britpop history.
This marks the latest twist in the greatest on-again-off-again sibling drama since Cain and Abel. Earlier this year, Liam emphatically denied another round of rumours claiming the two had secretly met up at a posh London hotel. His response to the story was that it was “FAKE NEWS.” Fast forward a few weeks, and they’re apparently bonding over PG Tips like it’s 1996 again. It’s beautiful stuff.
Oasis’ reunion tour kicks off this July, making this the most high-stakes family reconciliation since your cousin’s wedding where your uncle was in charge of the music. The current band line-up includes Noel, Liam, Andy Bell, Gem Archer, Bonehead, and Joey Waronker—and yes, the shows are already being hyped as religious experiences. So Liam’s “biblical” descriptor is technically on-brand.
Support acts are stacked: Ball Park Music for Australia, Richard Ashcroft and Cast in the UK, and Cage The Elephant in North America.
Liam previously claimed the shows will run “59 minutes and 59 seconds,” which was probably a joke. But even if it wasn’t, is long enough to squeeze in the hits, short enough to avoid another public meltdown.
So, to recap: the Gallaghers are on speaking terms, tea was had, and Easter has never been more dramatic. No idea how long the ceasefire will last, but for now, all is well in the Gallagher households.
