Billy Idol joined Yungblud onstage at BludFest for a surprise ‘White Wedding’ performance in Milton Keynes, with the star saying he “will remember this night forever.”
BludFest returned to Milton Keynes in explosive fashion on June 21, headlined and handpicked once again by Yungblud, who made sure the second edition of the festival delivered a night to remember. One of the most talked-about moments of the night? The arrival of music royalty Billy Idol, joining Yungblud on stage for a surprise rendition of ‘White Wedding’.
The crowd lost it as Idol walked onstage, introduced by Yungblud as “the icon” of the night. The two tore through the 1982 classic, backed by Yungblud’s full band, as thousands sang along.
“I will remember this night forever,” Yungblud said, clearly overwhelmed after the duet.
His headlining set came shortly after the release of his fourth studio album Idols, and he admitted to the crowd that he was “so fucking nervous” about sharing it live. “It’s been four years in the making, but to see the amount of love that you are giving it… I love you all so much.”

BludFest’s official social media, as well as fans, also captured footage of the performance:
BludFest’s lineup leaned into the chaos and colour of alternative music’s current wave, with sets from Chase Atlantic, Denzel Curry, Blackbear, Peach PRC, and Rachel Chinouriri keeping the energy high across the day. Following last year’s inaugural event, which saw The Damned take the coveted “icon slot”, this year’s choice to hand that moment to Idol cemented the festival’s growing legacy.
Yungblud also used his platform to highlight global issues, urging fans to support War Child by taking a photo of a donation number projected on screen. “The world at the minute is in turmoil and we have to protect the future,” he said.
Yungblud recently said he was “trying [his] best” to bring BludFest, billed as a more financially accessible festival amidst increasingly high ticket prices, to Australia. Whether we’ll get an iconic collaboration with a star like Billy Idol should the festival hit Aussie shores remains to be seen, but we’re sure as hell looking forward to what a BludFest down under could look like.
