It’s New Vegas, Baby! The Fallout Season 2 Teaser Is Here!

Share

Fallout, Amazon’s smash hit post-apocalyptic series, takes us to the games’ most iconic location.

I’m actually replaying Fallout: New Vegas right now – my crappy laptop balks at Fallout 4. So, it’s bit weird to see places I’ve rampaged through in less-than-stellar resolution suddenly appear as big and bright as life in the new teaser for Prime Video‘s hot-off-the-server teaser for season 2 of their screen adaptation. That shot of New Vegas all lit up at night? I actually got a little chill.

Fallout Season 2 Teaser

What’s the plot?

Let’s see what the official synopsis has for us today…

Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.

But what we can piece together is that Kyle MacLachlan‘s Hank McLean, overseer of Vault 33 and father to main protagonist Lucy, has fled to New Vegas, a den of iniquity and a point of extreme interest for the various factions battling for control of the Wasteland. On his trail are Lucy (Ella Purnell) and cool-as-hell bounty hunter, The Ghoul, who avers that Mr House, who runs New Vegas is responsible for the nuclear war that caused… *waves hand vaguely* …all this. And a Deathclaw shows up.

Who’s in it?

  • Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean, former inhabitant of Vault 33, now wandering in the wasteland.
  • Aaron Moten as Brotherhood of Steel squire Maximus.
  • Kyle MacLachlan as Hank MacLean, Lucy’s father and Overseer of Vault 33.
  • Walton Goggins as The Ghoul, formerly Cooper Howard, a Hollywood actor turned gunslinger and bounty hunter.
  • Justin Theroux as Mr House, ruler of New Vegas and a familiar character for fans of the game.

When’s it out?

Fallout season 2 hits Prime Video in December.

What’s the vibe?

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m crazy excited. If I’m being honest, most of the actual story in the the last season didn’t do much for me – if it did I’d remember more of it – but the aesthetic? That’s my jam. There’s been a bit of grumbling from the usual laughing clowns because, although the series is set after the events of New Vegas, characters and places that should be gone are cropping up in the new season, but that’s just the brainrot talking. This looks cool as hell.
