Evanescence fans can look forward to a new release in the coming year, as Amy Lee confirms a new LP
Evanescence are looking forward to a big 2026. Not only are they embarking on a massive world tour (well, most of the world – no love for Australia as yet) supported by Spiritbox, Poppy, Nova Twins and K.Flay, but now comes the news that we’re getting a whole new album out of the alt metal veterans.
Lead singer Amy Lee spilled the beans during an interview with Los Angeles radio station KROQ’s Kevin Ryder prior to performing at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas concert on Saturday, along with Papa Roach, Rise Against, Social Distortion, The All-American Rejects, Third Eye Blind, Yellowcard, Wet Leg, and The Paradox.
Pressed on when a new album might see the light of day, Lee popped for Spring next year, so March-May for those of us in the southern half of the planet. “I have a few more lyrics to write, but it’s going very well, and I’m really excited about it,” Lee went on to say. The upcoming album will be the band’s first since 2021’s The Bitter Truth.
While there’s no further info about the album, Lee did hold forth about the upcoming tour while speaking to Metal Injection, saying, “This year has been so inspiring in so many ways, creating so much new music, playing some bucket-list shows and working with so many artists that give us life.
“We are taking all of that fire and energy and inspiration and building it into an epic 2026 for our fans. Collaborating with K. Flay, Poppy, and Courtney LaPlante made me want to create a world where we could share stages together, and I’m thrilled we are going to make it happen! I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on, and I can’t wait for this incredible tour.”
