BIGSOUND Celebrates 25 Years By Unveiling Its Massive 2026 Showcase Lineup

Share

BIGSOUND is officially gearing up for one of its biggest years yet.

Marking its 25th anniversary in 2026, Australia’s most influential music discovery event has unveiled the full BIGSOUND 100 showcase lineup, confirming the artists set to take over Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley across three nights this September.

Running from September 1st to 4th, BIGSOUND returns with its familiar mix of live showcases, conference sessions and industry networking, bringing together artists, labels, managers, publishers, media and music professionals from across Australia and around the world.

This year’s edition arrives under the conference theme Creativity In Conversation, a reflection of BIGSOUND’s continued push to spotlight not only the artists shaping the future, but also the conversations and connections that help build sustainable music careers.

Spread across 15 venues throughout Fortitude Valley, the showcase program spans genres and scenes from every corner of Australia and New Zealand.

A mixed bag

Among the names confirmed for 2026 are neo-soul powerhouse Ngaiire, rising indie pop favourite Jem Cassar-Daley, fast growing Auckland indie-psych outfit Daily J, internationally recognised songwriter Sam Fischer, indie-pop icon Ladyhawke and Northern Rivers favourite Jack Botts.

BIGSOUND programmers Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne said the final lineup under their stewardship reflects the breadth of talent emerging across the region:

“We’re incredibly proud of this year’s lineup. We were, yet again, blown away by the quality of applications and we believe the artists selected reflect the creativity, ambition and world-class talent emerging from Australia and New Zealand.”

The event has become one of Australia’s most important launchpads for artists, helping elevate names including Flume, Tones And I, Courtney Barnett and Tash Sultana across previous editions.

Alongside the showcase program, BIGSOUND has also confirmed Artist In Conversation sessions featuring members of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Julia Jacklin and trials, while international guests from across labels, media and global festivals will also take part.

Festival and delegate passes are on sale now, with early bird pricing currently available ahead of September’s return to Brisbane.
