Aussie rock fans came out in full spirits to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Croxton, one of the musical hearts of Melbourne, and Spiderbait was ready to deliver an energetic set for the punters braving the heat.
The Croxton celebrated 10 years over the weekend with The Croxton Block Party, a 2-day celebration of the venue featuring a stacked lineup and plenty of keen fans ready for good vibes and good music. Stationed in the car park, the festival was set up with multiple food trucks, seating area, merch stands and bars with a private drinking area for those wanting to sit close to the action.
The sun was shining and the vibe was reminiscent of your favourite parties from when you were younger – good vibes, great people and a focus on enjoying life with some great music.
Cash Savage and The Last Drinks came out with an energetic set list that had the crowd going for it, fist pumping and signing their hearts out. Tropical Fuck Storm performed exactly how you would guess from the name, losing themselves in the tunes and vibes on stage giving all they had to the fans.
Perhaps the shining jewel in The Croxton Block Party’s crown though was Spiderbait, the Aussie rock legends. The band played to a mix of deep cuts and newer tracks on the sweltering Sunday of the event, with old school and new school fans all excited to see them.
