NOFX Release New Political Anthem ‘Minnesota Nazis’ Amid ICE Raids Sweeping The US

Share

NOFX have never been subtle, even in “retirement mode”, Fat Mike still can’t help but poke the bruise and then press harder.

The punk legends have released a new track titled ‘Minnesota Nazis’, a sharp-edged political anthem arriving amid ongoing federal ICE raids sweeping across the United States, it’s also the band’s first piece of new music in 2026, and it’s very much aimed at the moment we’re living in.

Fat Mike explained the track’s origins in a statement (press release), revealing it began life as a different song entirely.

“I wrote a song called “Huntington Beach Nazis” in 2022 when I spent 6 sober weeks there. There’s actually an intersection of Rhein and Heil streets. Kinda weird…. anyway, after all the recent heartbreaks in Minnesota, I decided to change some lyrics in the song and release it digitally. I even changed the title of the song to “Minnesota Nazis”. I reckon it’s appropriate. This song isn’t gonna stop the absolute madness…. but you do what you can to make this world a better place. Let’s look out for each other the best we can. Love > Hate….. even though it doesn’t seem like it right now….”

For a band that built its name on satire, speed, and social commentary, this feels like NOFX snapping back into focus, it’s not polished PR punk. It’s a blunt instrument, dropped into the middle of a tense political climate, with Mike openly acknowledging the limits of what a song can do, while still insisting it’s worth doing anyway.

‘A TO H’ and ‘40 Years Of Fkin’ Up’

The release follows the band’s late 2025 drop ‘A TO H’, the first instalment in a triple album collection featuring previously unreleased demo cuts from the vault alongside newer material.

There’s more NOFX content on the way as well, a new documentary titled ‘40 Years Of Fkin’ Up’** is currently in the works, telling the story of the band’s rise to punk stardom. Directed by James Buddy Day, the film will feature the full band and includes a score by Fat Mike and Matt Nasir.

The team is planning sneak peak screenings in Austin during SXSW this March, with a curated theatre rollout worldwide beginning in April, tickets are expected to go on sale February 20th.
