Heavy and Alternative influence
Blending gothic rock, industrial textures, post-punk edge and dark electronic elements, the band’s legacy continues to cast a huge shadow over modern heavy and alternative music, artists ranging from Metallica to Nine Inch Nails and My Chemical Romance have all cited The Sisters Of Mercy as a major influence.
Fans attending the Australian dates can expect a career spanning setlist featuring classics like “Temple Of Love,” “Lucretia My Reflection” and “This Corrosion,” alongside newer material and deep cuts that have become staples of the band’s evolving live performances.
The upcoming tour will feature what many fans have described as one of the strongest Sisters Of Mercy line ups in years, with Ben Christo, Kai, ‘Ravey’ Dave Creffield and the ever present Doktor Avalanche all returning to the stage.
Known for their cinematic lighting production and immersive atmosphere, The Sisters Of Mercy’s live shows continue to stand apart from their contemporaries, delivering a performance that feels equally nostalgic and forward thinking.
The tour also marks a rare Hobart appearance, giving Tasmanian fans a chance to finally experience one of alternative music’s most enduring acts live.
