Swedish heavyweights thrown have locked in the next chapter, launching pre-orders for their new album UNWANTED ahead of their return to Australia in February.
The follow-up to 2024 debut EXCESSIVE GUILT will arrive November 6th through Arising Empire, with the band heading back Down Under just three months later for their biggest Australian headline tour yet.
That run will bring a stacked international bill with it. Connecticut metalcore outfit Boundaries and Pittsburgh’s 156/Silence will both make the trip, while Newcastle heavy hitters Volatile Ways will open the shows.
According to the tour announcement, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane have already sold out.

The album announcement follows the arrival of ‘critic’ in August, a typically compact burst of thrown aggression aimed squarely at online commentary, self-appointed tastemakers and the fixation on metrics and manufactured outrage.
It follows earlier 2026 singles ‘split’ and ‘rehearsed’, giving thrown their first run of new material since EXCESSIVE GUILT.
That debut album helped accelerate an already rapid rise for the Stockholm four-piece. Before it, their EXTENDED PAIN EP had amassed more than 50 million streams and spent close to a year inside Spotify’s Global Metal Top 200.

Australia has been part of that trajectory too. thrown sold out their February 2025 Australian headline tour, and their 2027 return significantly ups the scale.
Boundaries arrive following their own recent Australian visit supporting The Plot In You, while the tour will mark 156/Silence’s first Australian shows. Volatile Ways round out the package, although they won’t appear at the Fremantle opener.
